SIDRA comes from the Qur'anic reference "Sidra-tul-Muntaha".  Sidra-tul-Muntaha is the lote tree at the utmost boundary of the earth and the seven heavens. It is here where our beloved Messenger, prayers and peace be upon him, witnessed the greatest sign of his Lord.  As described in the Qur'an, "he approached and came near, as close as two bow lengths, or closer, and revealed to the servant of God what is divine inspiration.  His mind did not imagine what he saw; and yet you argue with him over what he sees?  He saw him, in fact, on another descent by the lotus tree none can pass, near which is the garden of eternity.  When obscurity veiled the lotus tree, his gaze did not deviate or stray.  He actually saw the greatest of the signs of his Lord." (53:8-18)

 Sidra-tul-Muntaha is the absolute limit of the created intellect.  It represents the highest form of knowledge; that which is beyond it is incomprehensible to the human mind.  As such, SIDRA Foundation intends to establish an educational foundation that provides women with the knowledge necessary to maximize their created intellect.

Our mission is to provide women with a solid understanding of knowledge related to all aspects of a women's life, family, education, religion, health and beyond.

The SIDRA Foundation hopes that the services provided will allow women to realize and utilize the talents bestowed upon them to the best of their ability so as to serve ourselves, our family, and the community at large.
